Aim and Journal Scope

The Tropical Journal of Natural Product Research is an international peer-reviewed online and print Open Access Journal in English, aimed at making important contributions in the field of natural product research, Pharmaceutical and Natural Sciences.

The journal covers all aspects of Pharmaceutical research, chemistry and biochemistry of naturally occurring compounds, Biological evaluation of crude extracts, ethnomedicine, ethnopharmacology, biomedical research, biomedicine, Biotechnology, Evaluation of natural substances of land and sea and of plants, microbes and animals, pharmacognosy, and allied topics. Therapeutic strategies that can lead to or assist in the prevention and management of chronic and infectious disease, clinical therapeutics, Isolation and characterization of metabolites, structure elucidation, synthesis and experimental biosynthesis of natural Product as well as developments of methods in these areas are welcomed in the journal. Finally, research papers in fields on the chemistry-biology boundary, e.g. fermentation chemistry, plant tissue culture investigations etc., are accepted into the journal. Papers discussing the screening of natural Product for biological activity against different health targets are also encouraged, and also the effects of natural Product on gene expression in animals.

Timely, concise and focused reviews on recent progress in active areas of natural Product will be also published.

This international journal will be published quarterly, and available in both printed and electronic formats.

All submitted manuscripts are subject to initial appraisal by the Editor. If found suitable for further consideration and publication, manuscripts are subject to peer review by independent, competent, experts and anonymous referees. Receipt of the manuscript will be acknowledged by email. Every effort will be made to complete the review process with in shortest possible time.
